Software Programmer

Description

Provide software support for Wavecrest Computing applications. Work with a small group of senior software engineers and testing specialists to develop java-based products using state-of-the-art tools.  

Location

 Melbourne, FL

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Technical and Experience Requirements

  • Familiarity with requirement analysis, design, development and testing of software products
  • Experience developing in Java, Javascript, AJAX, SQL and VBS
  • Experience with network sockets
  • Database experience, especially with store procedures and views
  • Experience in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms
  • General understanding of Version Control tools
  • Good grasp of debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle routine tasks
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux a bonus

 


Title

Technical Support Specialist

Description

Provide technical support for Wavecrest Computing applications in pre- and post-sales environments. Offer and deliver support using multiple communication modes, i.e., phone, e-mail, forum, etc.

Location

Melbourne, FL

Education Requirements

Two years of technical education in a computer-related field. (Five years of related experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.)

Technical and Experience Requirements

Required:  

  • Ability to provide technical support in a professional manner
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer networks

Desirable:  

  • Experience providing technical support and/or software testing services services
  • Knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) software
  • Knowledge of Trouble Ticket software
  • Unix knowledge  
  • Hardware knowledge/support experience
